The programme includes an exhibition area featuring cutting-edge technologies, alongside conferences and round tables with 48 leading industrial figures and experts.

The summit also marked the official launch of (Add)liance, a new European alliance of 3D printing hubs, designed to foster collaboration and provide a stable framework for the sector. Pere Navarro, the State’s special delegate to the Consorci de la Zona Franca de Barcelona (CZFB), emphasised the collaborative nature of the event: ‘The future will not be about competition, but about working together.’

Blanca Sorigué, general director of CZFB, described the congress as an ideal opportunity to present Barcelona’s District 4.0, a project that reflects the city’s strategic vision to lead industrial transformation in Europe.

With DFactory now positioned as a key European hub for Industry 4.0 technologies, the event underlines Barcelona’s growing role as a global reference point in advanced manufacturing.
