Malgrat de Mar fire crews are battling a major industrial blaze that has consumed three warehouses in the coastal town’s industrial estate.
The fire broke out on Wednesday evening, prompting an extensive emergency response from the Generalitat’s fire service.
According to official reports from emergency services, the fire originated in one empty warehouse measuring approximately 1,000 square metres.

Consequently, the flames quickly spread to two adjacent industrial units, creating a significant firefighting challenge for responding crews.

The industrial estate location presents both challenges and advantages for firefighting operations. Meanwhile, the empty nature of the initial warehouse likely contributed to the fire’s rapid detection. Furthermore, the absence of workers during the evening hours ensured no injuries were reported.
