A demonstration in support of Palestinian prisoners drew around 400 people through Barcelona’s streets on Tuesday evening, according to Guardìa Urbana estimates. The march, organised by Samidoun, started at Rambla del Raval at 18:30 and was still moving through the city past 20:45.

The protest aimed to show support for “the Palestinian resistance”, according to the demonstration’s official poster. Several youth and student organisations backed the march, including the Organització Juvenil Socialista de Catalunya (OJS) and the Sindicat d’Estudiants dels Països Catalans (Spec), both calling for participation on X.
Samidoun focuses on supporting Palestinian political prisoners. The organisation regularly coordinates demonstrations and events highlighting the situation of Palestinians detained in Israeli prisons, as well as broader issues relating to Palestine.
The demonstration represents continued solidarity activity in Barcelona following recent events in the Middle East, with local groups maintaining regular protest actions to raise awareness about the Palestinian cause amongst the Catalan public.
