Accidental death at Barcelona waste plant: a recurring issue
Authorities noted this is not an isolated occurrence in the region’s waste management sector. Meanwhile, police sources recalled a similar tragedy in April 2025. In that instance, another man’s body was discovered on a conveyor belt at the Ecoparc recycling plant in Sant Adrià de Besòs.
Investigators determined the deceased had accidentally fallen into a refuse container before being transported to the facility. This pattern highlights ongoing safety concerns within the sector.
