Aina Machuca, from L'Ametlla del Vallès, has won the fourth season of 3Cat's popular music talent show 'Eufòria'. She secured a significant 63% of the public vote in the grand final gala. This victory marks a major step for the emerging artist in Catalonia's music scene.
Monique finished in second place, receiving 37% of the public's votes. Tura was the third finalist in this highly anticipated edition. The final gala began with all sixteen contestants performing the successful songs "What It Sounds Like" and "Golden".
Machuca delivered two strong performances during the evening. She interpreted a version of Christina Aguilera's "Show Me How to Burlesque". Additionally, she sang a track from the renowned Catalan theatre group Dagoll Dagom, according to 3Cat's music talent show 'Eufòria'. Her vocal talent and stage presence clearly resonated with viewers.
Winner's Special Prize
During the live broadcast, programme presenter Marta Torné announced a special prize for the winner. Torné stated, "The winner will take home a very special prize: performing 3Cat's summer song." This ensures Machuca's voice will reach a wide audience across Catalonia as the warmer months approach. The summer song is a highly anticipated annual release by the Catalan public broadcaster 3Cat.
Winning 'Eufòria' offers a substantial platform for Machuca's career. The show has a strong following, and its winners often gain significant public recognition. This opportunity helps new artists reach a broad audience.
Recording in Los Angeles
Machuca will also travel to Los Angeles to record her winning summer song in a professional music studio. This international experience provides a unique chance for the artist to develop her craft. It also connects her with global music production standards. Meanwhile, songs from both finalists will become available on all major streaming platforms from 8 May.
