Barcelona had its own big night on Montjuïc as Bad Bunny played to 55,000 fans at Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys. The Puerto Rican star, whose real name is Benito, opened the first of two sold-out shows with a crowd that was already chanting his name before he got going.

The set moved quickly through reggaeton, dembow and pop, starting with La mudanza and shifting into salsa-led sections. Tickets for the Barcelona dates ranged from 83.30 to 230 euros, with floor access priced at 122.80 euros.

Bad Bunny told the crowd, “Barcelona, dance without fear!” He added, “I am here for you to enjoy. Do not complicate things. All I want is for you to forget what is happening outside the stadium for a while and sing and dance.”

The show drew on songs from Debí tirar más fotos and hits including Tití me preguntó, with live trombones and percussion giving several tracks a stronger salsa feel. The main stage stayed simple, with a panoramic screen keeping the focus on the performance itself.

A pink house served as a second stage during part of the concert, a nod to Puerto Rican identity that also worked as a guest area in Barcelona. Among those spotted were footballers Lamine Yamal, Gavi and Balde, plus journalist Marc Giró. An animated frog on the screen also suggested Barcelona food and sights, including fuet, croquetas, paella, calçots, La Rambla, La Pedrera and the Sagrada Família.

Later, Bad Bunny moved to the pink house in a tracksuit for a reggaeton and disco-heavy stretch that included Tití me preguntó, Si veo a tu mamá, Diles and Monaco. Catalan artist Bad Gyal joined him for Yo perreo sola and then performed Dame solo. The set also included La santa, which Bad Bunny played only for Barcelona, plus percussion from Los Pleneros de la Cresta.

Back on the main stage, the show closed with songs including Ojitos lindos, Klousfrens and El apagón. It was described as bigger than his previous Barcelona appearances at the 2018 Reggaeton Beach Festival and Sónar 2019, and it was the first of two sold-out nights at the stadium.
