A vibrant new immersive exhibition, Balloon Story, will open in Barcelona on 21 May, transforming Poblenou's Espacio Inmersa with nearly 600,000 biodegradable balloons. This acclaimed experience, making its Spanish debut, invites visitors to journey from the age of dinosaurs to outer space through colourful, large-scale installations.

The exhibition has already captivated over 800,000 visitors in cities like New York and across Australia. Barcelona, known for its strong reception to immersive experiences, now hosts this unique display. Tickets are currently available for purchase, with a 15% discount offered for a limited time.

Espacio Inmersa, a venue in the Poblenou district, frequently hosts large-format, new exhibitions suitable for all ages. Balloon Story will divide the space into various real-scale scenes, presenting recognisable moments and environments. These scenes include prehistoric landscapes, ancient civilisations, lush jungles, the deep sea, and even famous monuments such as the Statue of Liberty and the Eiffel Tower. A journey into space also features prominently. The exhibition's distinctive feature is the construction of these environments entirely from hundreds of thousands of colourful, biodegradable balloons.

Immersive Scenes and Playful Design

Visitors can expect to see a dinosaur, a giant octopus, or a rocket crafted from countless spheres. The entire setting, including ceilings and walls, will feature a bright, cartoon-like aesthetic. This design aims to delight both children and adults.

The exhibition's rooms are designed to be highly 'Instagrammable', providing ideal backdrops for photos and videos. This focus on visual appeal caters to social media users seeking aesthetic content.

Interactive Elements and AI Souvenirs

A large ball pit will serve as a highlight of the immersive journey, offering a fun and colourful escape. This interactive installation provides a playful end to the experience.

Additionally, Balloon Story uses advanced generative artificial intelligence. All visitors can receive a unique souvenir: an AI-generated version of themselves as a character made from balloons.

The arrival of Balloon Story adds another significant cultural attraction to Barcelona's diverse offerings. It promises a memorable and visually stunning experience for residents and tourists alike throughout its run.
