Barcelona’s Hotel Terraces Week is back for its 15th edition, with 120 free cultural and gastronomic activities at 58 hotels across the city from 29 May to 7 June.
The event is designed to bring hotels closer to everyday city life, and to show that these spaces are not only for visitors. Jordi Clos, president of the Gremi d’Hotels de Barcelona, said the aim is to keep hotels as living spaces that are part of Barcelona’s day-to-day life, while combining culture, food and city views.
Food and drink are a big part of the programme. Activities include artisan cheese tastings at the Alexandra Barcelona Hotel, a beef tartare cooking demo at Catalonia Boulevard, ancestral cuisine at the Claris Hotel & Spa, and artisan pizza workshops at the Grand Hyatt Barcelona. There are also wine sessions at Hotel Duquesa de Cardona, cocktail workshops at The Barcelona EDITION, and fermentation sessions at the Mandarin Oriental, including sourdough and traditional drink preparation.
The schedule also includes wellness and music events. The Hilton Diagonal Mar is offering yoga, The Hoxton in Poblenou has Pilates, and the Majestic Hotel & Spa is running personal care rituals with Natura Bissé. Music sessions range from Amy Winehouse tributes at Barcelona Princess to Catalan rumba at the Oasis, bossa nova at Novotel Barcelona City, and salsa workshops at Ohla Eixample.
Families are included too, with magic shows at Catalonia Ramblas, paper-mâché figure workshops at H10 Art Gallery, ceramic workshops at H10 Urquinaona Plaza, and a synchronised swimming show at Ohla Barcelona. Other activities include Tarot sessions at Vincci Gala, speed dating at Negresco Principe, writing a letter to your future self at NH Collection Barcelona Pódium, and Art & Drinks at Hotel El Palace Barcelona.
