The Barcelona Metro will open its mysterious “ghost stations” — Correos and Gaudí — along with six other usually closed facilities, as part of the celebrations for its centenary, which will run through September, October and November .

Visitors, by prior reservation, will be able to tour:
- The Metro Control Centre (CCM)
- The driving simulator room
- The Santa Eulalia workshop
- The ZAL workshop
- The Mercat Nou substation
- The spiral staircase at Urquinaona station
- The Gaudí station
- The Correos station
In total, there will be 5,033 places available for these exclusive visits .
The Gaudí station, built in 1968 between Sagrada Família and Sant Pau/Dos de Maig, was never opened to the public. Its unused platform will now showcase the 100-year history of the Barcelona Metro.

The Correos station, by contrast, was operational between 1934 and 1972, forming part of the second branch of the Gran Metro (today’s Line 4). It closed when the line was extended to Barceloneta. Because Correos has no street access, visits will take place at night when trains are not running, requiring participants to walk along the tracks .
Transports Metropolitans de Barcelona (TMB) announced that reservations will open on Tuesday, 9 Septemberthrough obrimelmetro.cat.
