Barcelona’s Monumental Ferris Wheel has moved for the summer and is now standing beside Hotel W at Plaça de la Rosa dels Vents, 1, betevé reported. The wheel was previously operating in Barceloneta.
From the new site, riders can see the city, the coastline, the Mediterranean Sea and the mountains from enclosed cabins. It gives locals and visitors a different way to look at Barcelona’s beachfront and skyline.
The move places the attraction at the entrance to the port, in one of the city’s best-known waterfront spots. Hotel W, with its sail-like shape, is a familiar landmark on this stretch of coast.
The Ferris wheel will stay at this location throughout the summer months. It adds another seasonal attraction to an area already used for leisure and tourism, and gives people another reason to spend time along the promenade.
