Barcelona’s Ajuntament has started expansion works on Olzinelles Street in Sants, near Plaça de Sants. The city says the work is part of its urban improvement plans for the area.

The project is being handled by the Ajuntament de Barcelona. Olzinelles Street is a key road in Sants, one of the city’s busiest neighbourhoods, and the works are intended to improve local infrastructure.

At this stage, the city has not shared full details of the scope of the project. It has also not announced a completion date, so more information is expected as the works move forward.

Residents and businesses in the area may see temporary disruption for traffic and pedestrians while the work is under way. The longer-term aim is to improve access, public space and day-to-day movement in the neighbourhood.

Barcelona often carries out public works to update streets and neighbourhood spaces across the city. For more local coverage, see our community stories and the city’s official notice from Ajuntament de Barcelona.
