Barcelona Ronda Litoral has reopened following a serious collision involving two motorcycles and a lorry that caused major traffic disruption throughout the city.

The incident occurred near Barceloneta at approximately 1:50pm on Wednesday, forcing temporary closure of this vital coastal route.

Emergency services responded immediately to the scene. Consequently, one person sustained minor injuries and required hospital transport for medical assessment. The System of Medical Emergencies (SEM) confirmed the individual’s condition remained stable throughout treatment.

Authorities reopened the roadway around 2:30pm after clearing the accident scene. However, significant traffic delays persisted throughout the afternoon. Meanwhile, municipal sources reported approximately 6 kilometres of congestion in the Llobregat direction.

Furthermore, traffic in the opposite direction toward Besòs also experienced disruptions. Accordingly, one lane remained closed temporarily, creating additional travel challenges for commuters and commercial vehicles alike.
