A private security guard sustained a nose injury during a group assault at Barcelona-Sants train station in the early hours of Saturday, 29 March. Five intoxicated individuals attacked the worker at approximately 04:20, according to Metrópoli.

The incident began when the group started throwing bottles at the station entrance. The security guard intervened to stop the disturbance. During the confrontation, the attackers repeatedly struck the guard. Several assailants used their belts as weapons. One attacker specifically hit the guard’s nose with a belt buckle, causing a cut.

More private security personnel, Mossos d’Esquadra, and an ambulance from the Sistema d’Emergències Mèdiques (SEM) quickly arrived at the scene. The unnamed security guard later condemned the attack on social media, according to Barcelona Sants railway station. He stated, “If it were not for my colleagues, it could have been more serious.” This highlights the crucial role of teamwork in such high-pressure situations.
