Barcelona has closed the fifth edition of its Sons d'Educació cycle with a concert at El Born Centre de Cultura i Memòria. The final performance, Around the World with 100 Strings, brought the annual music education programme to an end, according to the Barcelona City Council.

The cycle is designed to promote musical education and cultural participation in the city. It gives young musicians a platform and supports activities that connect education with Barcelona's wider cultural life.

Held in Ciutat Vella, El Born Centre de Cultura i Memòria is one of Barcelona's main public cultural spaces. It regularly hosts exhibitions, talks and performances, which makes it a fitting venue for a city-backed music project like this one.

The City Council supports a range of cultural programmes across Barcelona, and Sons d'Educació is one of the initiatives focused on music learning. The council said the fifth edition has now finished, with the closing concert acting as the final event in the cycle.
