Its modern design includes a translucent facade that floods the interior with natural light and a striking vertical garden. The complex urban setting posed significant construction challenges, requiring a lightweight structure built above Santa Teresa de Lisieux’s ground floor and advanced acoustic insulation to avoid disrupting school activities. The facility will host seven sports—including handball, volleyball, basketball, and badminton—and will also be used by local schools for physical education classes.

Urban improvements around the pavilion are planned next, featuring more green space, new street furniture, and better bicycle parking. The translucent facade floods the interior with natural light while creating a “lantern” effect when illuminated at night, contrasting beautifully with the red stone base. Environmental enhancements include increased green space and biodiversity through the addition of vertical gardens on the facade. Following the pavilion’s completion, urban improvements will begin in the surrounding area to create better gathering spaces for users of three nearby educational facilities.

These upcoming works, budgeted at €750,000, will include improved access to Santa Teresa de Lisieux school, additional greenery, new street furniture, and enhanced bicycle parking. The four-month improvement project is scheduled to begin in the coming weeks.
