Additionally, MACBA hosts contemporary installations exploring urban landscapes. Visitors can attend guided tours at 11am and 4pm daily. Meanwhile, local galleries in El Born offer free entry for weekend viewings.

The modernism celebrations continue across the city with special architectural tours. However, some venues require advance booking due to limited capacity.

There is also the Halloween “La Zona” in Poble Espanyol running on Friday nights (17/24/31st Oct) – for those that like to be frightened.

Seasonal Events

Horror film enthusiasts can attend special Halloween screenings at Sitges Film Festival venues. The programme includes classic thrillers and new independent productions. In contrast, family-friendly alternatives feature animated films.

Traditional tapas routes operate in Gràcia and Poble-sec districts. Participating establishments offer special menus showcasing Catalan cuisine. According to organisers, approximately 45 restaurants are participating this weekend.

This weekend also marks the last for Oktoberfest, so get down to Barcelona Fira to participate in beer drinking and pretzel eating.
