Barcelona Wine Week 2026 will gather more than 1,300 wineries in Barcelona this February. This flagship wine industry event marks a significant expansion for the trade fair. Indeed, Barcelona Wine Week 2026 expects a 4% participation increase compared to last year. Consequently, it consolidates its position as a key date for Spanish producers. Meanwhile, the city’s commitment to large-scale gatherings is bolstered by Barcelona’s tourist tax revenue funding major events and promotional activities.
The event is scheduled from 2 to 4 February at the Montjuïc venue of Fira de Barcelona. Organisers confirmed on Monday that 90 Spanish designations of origin (D.O.) will be represented. Therefore, it brings together major established brands alongside smaller independent producers.

Barcelona Wine Week 2026 Expands Spanish Wine Showcase
The physical footprint of the fair is growing alongside the exhibitor list. The exhibition area will cover 10,800 square metres. This represents a 9% increase in floor space from the 2025 edition. Furthermore, this expansion allows for specialised areas. These areas are designed to facilitate business between producers and buyers.
According to data released by Europa Press, the event will feature a self-guided tasting zone. Additionally, it will have a dedicated speaker’s corner. A specific space for networking aims to help professionals connect directly with winemakers. This will help them discuss distribution and export opportunities.
Regional Heavyweights Lead Barcelona Wine Week 2026 Lineup
Participation varies significantly across Spain’s autonomous communities. Catalonia holds the largest presence with 320 wineries confirmed to attend. Castilla y León follows closely with 260 producers. Meanwhile, La Rioja will send 105 wineries. Castilla-La Mancha is also well represented with 75 participants.
Javier Pagés, president of Barcelona Wine Week and of the Cava D.O., stated that the event has become an essential meeting point for the sector. He emphasised its role in generating tangible business opportunities. Therefore, it serves more than merely a showcase.
The fair opens its doors to industry professionals on 2 February 2026.
