Furthermore, guided commentary will be available in Catalan, Spanish, and English throughout the experience. This year’s route incorporates Via Laietana as a key addition, which features brand new Christmas lighting installations.

Expanded Barcelona Christmas Tour Route Features Landmarks

The Christmas bus itinerary includes several of Barcelona’s most iconic landmarks and festive displays. Passengers will enjoy views of Casa Batlló, La Pedrera, Passeig de Gràcia, and the Recinte Modernista de Sant Pau. Additionally, the route passes the Sagrada Família and its Christmas market, Passeig de Sant Joan, Arc de Triomf, Avinguda Paral·lel, Gran Via, Plaça Universitat, and the newly added Via Laietana.

Departures occur from the Barcelona Bus Turístic stop at Plaça Catalunya (blue route) with six to ten daily journeys scheduled between 18:00 and 20:30. The service operates daily from Monday to Sunday, although there will be no operations on December 24, 25, 31 or January 1. Meanwhile, tickets are available for online purchase through official channels.

This seasonal initiative represents one of several transport enhancements during the holiday period. According to recent transport developments, Barcelona continues to expand its tourist and cultural offerings throughout the winter months. The Christmas Tour provides an accessible way for residents and visitors to experience the city’s festive transformation from a unique perspective.

As reported by El Periódico Barcelona, the Barcelona Christmas Tour has become an established seasonal tradition since its inception seven years ago. The service successfully combines practical transportation with cultural tourism, allowing participants to comfortably navigate the city while enjoying its decorative highlights. Consequently, this year’s expanded route through Via Laietana offers even more opportunities to discover Barcelona’s festive atmosphere.
