This initiative invites locals and visitors to rediscover the Rambla’s culture, heritage, and history through a mobile-led challenge.
Rambling Game Offers New Cultural Routes
Participants will follow one of three themed routes using their smartphones. The new paths are titled ‘Fotògrafs de la Rambla’, ‘Obres d’Art a la Rambla’, and ‘Fondes i Hotels de la Rambla’. Consequently, each route offers a unique perspective on the iconic street’s layered past and present. Furthermore, attendees will receive small gifts as they progress through the interactive experience.
To take part, registration is required via the Amics de la Rambla website. This ensures a smooth experience for all participants on the day. The event builds on a successful format that combines learning with playful discovery, a concept also seen in the popular free Rambla history tours that have returned to the city.
After completing their chosen route, participants can enter a draw to win several “ramblero” gifts. This adds an extra layer of excitement to the cultural outing. The rambling game is part of a wider effort to engage the public with Barcelona’s urban heritage in dynamic ways.
Therefore, the event represents a creative approach to cultural tourism. It moves beyond traditional guided walks, leveraging technology to create a more engaging participant-led journey. This interactive rambling game highlights how local associations are innovating to share Barcelona’s stories.
