Three Kings Parade registrations are now open for Barcelona’s magical 2026 celebration.
The city council has launched its volunteer recruitment drive for what many consider the most enchanting night of the year, bringing intergenerational wonder to streets across the Catalan capital.
Registration remains open until November 21, just one day before the city’s Christmas lights switch-on ceremony.
Three Kings Parade Seeks Diverse Participants Across Age Groups
The Barcelona City Council organisers are seeking volunteers across four distinct age categories.

Furthermore, successful applicants will receive full costumes and participate in training sessions before the main event. Consequently, this ensures everyone is perfectly prepared for their roles in the spectacular procession.
Children aged 8-10 can apply to become the youngest pages who will perform choreographed dances during the parade. Meanwhile, those aged 11-13 will serve as welcome pages dancing with their assigned groups. Teenagers from 14-17 will assist the royal entourage on foot, distributing crowns to spectators. Additionally, adults will take on technical roles managing crowd control or moving artistic elements along the route.
If applications exceed available positions, the council will conduct a random draw to select participants. Therefore, early registration is strongly recommended for those hoping to secure a place in this beloved tradition.
Expanded Christmas Programme Enhances Festive Celebrations
Beyond the parade itself, Barcelona’s Christmas programme promises significant enhancements for 2026. The city will feature 126 kilometres of festive lighting, representing a 15% budget increase compared to previous years. Moreover, five new designer installations will illuminate key locations including Via Laietana, Plaça Catalunya, Aragó, Gran Via and Passeig de Sant Joan.
The festive season officially begins on November 22 at 6pm with the lighting ceremony on Passeig de Gràcia, which continues to establish itself as Barcelona’s Christmas epicentre. For the first time, 38 ornamental fountains will also feature special lighting displays. Additionally, the Barcelona Christmas Festival will return to Plaça Catalunya with 357 street arts performances between December 20-30.
