According to the reviews, visitors can enjoy “Phoenician frescoes” on the façade and quarterly exhibitions. Additionally, the bathrooms are described as “impeccable”. One imaginative reviewer claims to have attended a “50Hz sound bath therapy taught by Professor Pólipo”. Others lament the limited stock in a non-existent souvenir shop. Another visitor recounts a surreal encounter with Romero himself. He allegedly asked for 100 euros for an unexplained charitable cause.
The Comedian’s Response to the Berto Romero House Museum
The joke reached Romero. He addressed the situation on Nadie Sabe Nada, the improvised comedy show he hosts with Andreu Buenafuente. Romero revealed that the property owner contacted him. The owner asked if he wished to install a commemorative plaque on the building.
True to his style, Romero declined the offer. He explained that he preferred the town wait until he had passed away before memorialising him. Meanwhile, he joked that he might one day “behave like Miguel Bosé” and end up embarrassing the municipality.
