Casa Seat Christmas celebrations have officially launched in Barcelona with their most spectacular Magic Days installation yet, attracting over 70,000 advance bookings for the free festive experience.

The iconic Passeig de Gràcia venue has transformed into an immersive winter wonderland that will remain open to the public until January 5th, completely free of charge through advance registration.

The elaborate installation spans multiple floors of the building, featuring a magical train station with an enormous carriage on the ground level and a meticulously recreated North Pole on the upper floor.

Furthermore, the creative direction comes from renowned chef Jordi Roca of Rocambolesc, whose imaginative touch appears throughout the displays. Additionally, the exterior showcases Barcelona’s largest Advent calendar, with windows revealing characters designed by artist TVBoy throughout December.

Visitors can explore numerous interactive elements including an Enchanted Hat that assigns guests to magical houses and the Magic Express with screens simulating journeys through snowy landscapes. Meanwhile, the -1 level hosts daily workshops ranging from cookie decorating to craft sessions and Christmas storytelling in collaboration with Natura. The organisers have particularly focused on making the experience accessible to schools during weekdays, with 22 educational institutions already confirmed for visits.

The inauguration ceremony featured Marc Giró presenting alongside the Jardinets de Gràcia, culminating with a magical wand activating the Christmas displays accompanied by pyrotechnics. Cristina Vall-Llosada, director of Casa Seat, expressed gratitude for Barcelona’s continued support of the project, which celebrates its fifth anniversary this year. She emphasised that the venue’s regular activities have been paused throughout the 45-day event period, with only the restaurant remaining operational.

According to recent cultural transformations in the city, Barcelona continues to establish itself as a hub for immersive public experiences. The Casa Seat Christmas installation follows this trend while maintaining its unique festive character. Last year’s edition attracted 116,000 visitors, and organisers expect similar numbers for this expanded offering.

The Magic Days represent one of Barcelona’s most ambitious free cultural events this holiday season, blending culinary artistry with theatrical installation in the heart of the city’s premier shopping district. Access requires advance registration through their website, with new slots opening each Monday throughout the event duration.
