Across Spain, passenger car registrations have been increasing since 2023. In 2025, they reached 1,148,228 units – a 12.9% increase. This volume is approaching pre-pandemic levels seen in 2019 (1,258,260 units). Looking ahead to 2026, Fecavem and Faconauto anticipate the Spanish market will reach around 1.3 million passenger car registrations, driven by the Auto+ and España Auto 2030 government plans to rejuvenate the vehicle fleet and promote electrified vehicles. Both organisations caution that future growth depends on the geopolitical context and regulatory stability.
