During the official presentation, Daniel Salinero, President of the Federation of Andalusian Cultural Entities in Catalonia (FECAC), announced the return to free admission. Mr Salinero stated, “The fair will once again be free and open to all, after last year’s introduction of an access charge.” This change is expected to significantly increase visitor numbers.
Free Entry and Public Holiday Boost
The fair’s calendar includes the Labour Day public holiday on 1 May. This extended weekend is expected to attract a larger influx of visitors to the event. The Federation of Andalusian Cultural Entities in Catalonia (FECAC) organises the fair. It collaborates with the Barcelona City Council and other public administrations.
Gaudí-Inspired Poster Unveiled
The organisation recently presented the official fair poster. Mediaclip created the artwork, which combines traditional Andalusian elements with Barcelona’s unique identity. The image features a colourful peineta, a traditional Spanish comb. The facade of Casa Batlló is integrated into its upper design. This artistic choice pays homage to Gaudí Year 2026, which marks the centenary of the architect’s death. The poster’s unveiling took place at the iconic Gaudí building itself.
For ten days, the Catalonia’s April Fair will transform the Parc del Fòrum. Visitors can enjoy traditional casetas, live music, and authentic Andalusian gastronomy. This event offers a vibrant celebration of Andalusian culture within the heart of Barcelona.
