Catalan chef Marc Ribas opens Pamb charcuterie in Barcelona this December, bringing authentic Catalan flavours to the city’s Eixample district.
The renowned television personality aims to redefine fast food with traditional Catalan products in a unique DJ-accompanied setting.
Pamb Charcuterie Brings Catalan Flavours to Eixample
Located at 203 Carrer de València, Pamb represents Ribas’s vision of offering “Catalan fast food” that he claims currently doesn’t exist in Barcelona.

The establishment takes its name from the iconic pa amb tomàquet, celebrating one of Catalonia’s most fundamental culinary traditions. Furthermore, Ribas plans to introduce an innovative twist by spreading tomato across both sides of the bread rather than just one.
The charcuterie will feature an extensive selection of Catalan embutidos, including fuets, espetecs, butifarras and longanizas. These traditional cured meats form the foundation of Ribas’s mission to showcase the excellence of local products. Additionally, the venue will serve freshly prepared sandwiches and tomato bread for both takeaway and in-situ consumption.
Unique Dining Experience with Musical Atmosphere
Pamb promises more than just exceptional food, offering a distinctive atmosphere with a resident DJ playing throughout opening hours. This combination of gourmet Catalan products and musical entertainment creates a novel dining concept for Barcelona. Meanwhile, the establishment will also pay homage to the city through its signature bikini sandwiches.
Two special bikini variations will feature prominently: the Barcelona priced at eight euros and the double-format Eixample at fifteen euros. Consequently, these offerings blend traditional Catalan ingredients with contemporary presentation. The charcuterie follows other successful Barcelona food initiatives that celebrate local culinary heritage.
Desserts and coffee will complete the experience, with pastries provided by renowned patissier Christian Escribà. Traditional treats including crema catalana will feature on the menu, ensuring a comprehensive Catalan culinary journey. According to El Periódico, this venture represents Ribas’s latest expansion in Barcelona’s competitive food scene.
Building on Television Success and Previous Ventures
Ribas continues his television career while expanding his restaurant portfolio, remaining a familiar face on 3Cat where he presents ‘Cuines’ and the culinary reality show ‘Joc de Cartes’. The chef brings considerable experience to Pamb, having previously operated establishments including El Ciri and Panot in the luxury Casa Fuster hotel. Therefore, this new charcuterie represents another chapter in his evolving culinary narrative.
The opening of Pamb charcuterie in Barcelona demonstrates the ongoing innovation within the city’s food sector. This venture joins other successful Barcelona establishments that blend tradition with contemporary experiences. Ultimately, Ribas’s latest project reinforces Barcelona’s position as a destination for culinary excellence and innovation.
