Gran Via Bus Accident Investigation Underway
Urban Guard officers have assumed control of the investigation into the causes of this serious incident. Multiple SEM units and traffic police attended the scene, regulating traffic while emergency services provided assistance to the victim.
This tragic event comes just five days after another devastating pedestrian accident in the city. A 14-year-old girl died last week after being struck by a Monbus interurban bus on Gran Via de Carles III.
The frequency of such incidents has raised concerns about pedestrian safety around Barcelona’s major transport arteries. Meanwhile, traffic management remains a critical issue as authorities work to balance mobility needs with public safety.
Urban Guard investigators are now examining all factors that may have contributed to this latest Gran Via bus accident. Their findings will be crucial for understanding how to prevent similar tragedies in future.
