The gathering, hosted by Derby Hotels Collection president Jordi Clos and general director Joaquim Clos, is a yearly occasion to mark the start of the new season. Attendees included councillors from the Barcelona City Council, senior representatives from the Generalitat, business leaders and tourism officials.

Notable names present were Albert Batlle, Jordi Valls, Daniel Sirera and Jordi Martí from the City Council; Cristina Lagé, director general of Tourism of Catalonia; and Arantxa Calvera, head of the Catalan Tourism Agency. Industry representatives such as GSMA’s Bob Puglielli and former Barcelona mayor Joan Clos were also in attendance.

For Derby Hotels Collection, this year has been pivotal. The company recently completed a full refurbishment of London’s Hotel The Caesar, with an investment of £18 million (€20 million). It is also preparing a new apartment complex at Plaça Europa in L’Hospitalet de Llobregat, which it considers a strategic site due to its proximity to the Fira de Barcelona and transport links to Sitges, Gavà and Castelldefels.

The Claris event continues to cement its reputation as a meeting point for Barcelona’s influential figures, blending business, politics and culture against the city’s rooftop skyline.
