Ebro EV Motors, the Barcelona-based automotive company, saw its revenue surge to €357 million in 2025, a 920% increase from the previous year, primarily due to strong vehicle sales. The company, which owns the Ebro brand, reported this significant financial growth despite a net loss of €16.33 million.

This revenue figure, communicated to BME Growth where the company is listed, marks a tenfold increase compared to 2024. Automotive business generated €335 million of this total. Ebro EV Motors exceeded its 2025 revenue target of €333 million.

The company continues to incur losses because of substantial investments. These investments focus on transforming its plant in Barcelona's Zona Franca and launching new vehicle models.

Strong Sales Drive Growth

Ebro EV Motors attributed the sales increase to new commercial models and an expanded commercial network. This helped accelerate operations during the second half of 2025. The company stated this allowed them to achieve their adjusted EBITDA target for the year. Adjusted EBITDA reached a positive €4.42 million in 2025, a significant improvement from a negative operating result of €15.27 million in 2024.

The company sold 14,148 vehicles to dealerships by the end of 2025. It also registered 12,459 new vehicles, securing a 1.1% market share in Spain. The S700 model led sales with 6,498 units, followed by the S400 with 3,968 units.

Barcelona Plant Investments

Ebro EV Motors invested €92.5 million in 2025, nearly double the €46.5 million spent in 2024. A substantial €43.5 million of this went into a new welding line, M1. This investment aims to significantly increase the plant's production capacity throughout 2026.

Rafael Ruiz, President of Ebro EV Motors, commented on the company's progress. He stated, "2025 marked a definitive turning point in the trajectory of EBRO EV Motors, consolidating our transition from a reindustrialisation project to an industrial reality." This reindustrialisation project in the Zona Franca is critical for Barcelona's industrial future.

Future Outlook and Employment

Ebro currently employs approximately 1,450 people. The company plans to expand its commercial presence by the end of this year. It expects to have 105 sales points across Spain and five in Portugal.
