A 53-year-old man has died following a fatal motorcycle accident on the TV-2032 road near Renau in the Tarragonès region. The incident occurred on Sunday afternoon.

Emergency services received the alert at approximately 5:15 pm on 15 February. According to the Servei Català de Trànsit, the motorcycle left the road at kilometre point 3.8. However, the precise cause remains under investigation.

Emergency Response to the Fatal Motorcycle Accident

Emergency services were alerted via the 112 emergency number. Consequently, three Mossos d’Esquadra patrols, two Bombers de la Generalitat crews, and several Medical Emergency System (SEM) units attended the scene.

Upon arrival, responders found the rider—the sole vehicle occupant—on the ground. Medical personnel attempted resuscitation, but the man was pronounced dead at the scene. The victim has been identified as T.G.D., a Tarragona resident.

Investigation and Broader Context

The Mossos d’Esquadra have opened an investigation to determine the accident’s precise causes. Therefore, authorities closed the TV-2032 in both directions for emergency work and forensic examination.

This fatal motorcycle accident brings Catalonia’s annual road fatality total to nine. It follows another recent fatal motorcycle accident in Barcelona. Additionally, a separate fatal collision occurred on 10 February on the N-340 in Tarragona, resulting in a 71-year-old French national’s death.
