Barcelona’s in for a soaking this Thursday. Meteocat has issued a moderate rain warning, meaning more than 20mm could fall in just half an hour.

The Barcelona rain alert covers more than half of Catalonia. Heavy showers will develop during the morning and stick around until evening in some areas.
Rain hits the city from 2pm onwards. It’ll come and go until at least 9pm, according to Meteocat’s forecast.
There are two peak periods to watch out for. The first runs from 3pm to 4pm, whilst the second comes between 7pm and 8pm. During these windows, up to 2.5mm could fall on average.
Temperatures will hover around 21 degrees throughout the day. Highs will reach 23 degrees, dropping to 18 degrees by night.
Wind won’t be much of a problem. It’ll stay light to moderate, with gusts up to 12km/h between 1pm and 4pm.
Spain’s weather service Aemet has also issued two warnings for Barcelona. One’s for moderate thunderstorms starting from midday, and the other’s for moderate rain from the same time.
Authorities are asking residents to be cautious. Stay alert to weather updates and avoid unnecessary risks during the storms.
