L'Hospitalet de Llobregat, in the Barcelona area, will host a charity race on 21 June to support people with cerebral palsy. The event is being organised by the National Police and L'Hospitalet Local Police, with funds going to Fundación Nexe.

The race is called L'Hospitalet runs for cerebral palsy. It includes an inclusive 1-kilometre race, a main 5.5-kilometre race, and a children's race. Organisers say the format is meant to bring in a wide range of runners from L'Hospitalet and the wider metropolitan area.

All races will start and finish on Marina Rambla, near Cobalt Street. The event combines sport, solidarity and inclusion, and is also intended to raise awareness of the realities faced by people with cerebral palsy.

Fundación Nexe works with children with multiple disabilities and their families. The money raised from the race will support its ongoing work. The L'Hospitalet City Council is also involved, alongside local companies and sponsors.

Registrations are open through the official race website. For more Barcelona community updates, see our Community and Sport pages.
