Mossos d’Esquadra arrested a 61-year-old man wanted by Italian authorities on 3 October. He’s accused of international drug trafficking involving over 300 kilograms of hashish and cannabis.

The Barcelona drug arrest followed a European Arrest Warrant issued by Italy. Police sources confirmed the man led a criminal network alongside another individual.
The organisation bought, imported and transported large quantities of drugs between Spain and Italy. The arrested man wasn’t just the gang’s leader. He also handled operational, organisational and financial strategies.
Mossos investigations tracked the fugitive to Sant Adrià de Besòs. Officers arrested him on Avinguda Catalana at around 5pm on 3 October.
