Around 200 people assembled outside the Israeli consulate in Barcelona on the evening of 17 September, responding to a call from the association Jurists for Palestine. The demonstration, backed by lawyers and open to the public, sought to highlight the legal dimensions of the conflict in Gaza and demand adherence to international law.

Many participants wore black clothing or even judicial robes to underline the symbolic weight of their message. The organisers stressed that the legal profession has a duty to defend human rights and ensure accountability for violations committed during the conflict.
The gathering remained peaceful but pointed in its tone, with speakers urging Spain and the wider international community to take firmer positions on the humanitarian situation. Placards and chants called for respect of international conventions and the protection of civilians in conflict zones.
According to Barcelona’s urban police, the turnout reached roughly 200 people. For Jurists for Palestine, the figure marked a successful mobilisation that reinforced their campaign to bring legal scrutiny and public awareness to the ongoing crisis.
