According to recent figures, the combined L9 South and L10 South branches—which share a common trunk—recorded nearly 19 million validations in 2025 alone. This contributed to a recent surge in metro usage.
The 15 stations along the route are all fully accessible to passengers with reduced mobility. These stations continue to serve as a backbone for metropolitan transit. From the university zones to Terminal 1, the L9 South metro line has spent the last ten years proving its value. It is now an essential artery for Barcelona.
