La Mina Drug Raid: Surveillance and Seizures
According to a police statement released on Saturday, officers had been conducting surveillance on the property prior to the raid. The investigation confirmed that the location was being used as an active sales point for distributing cocaine and heroin.
The operation escalated when the 54-year-old suspect was spotted conducting a drug transaction. He attempted to flee the scene but was intercepted by officers. Following his detention, police entered the flat where they apprehended the second suspect.
Inside the property, agents discovered various packages of narcotics already dosed and prepared for immediate sale. Additionally, they found larger quantities of rock substance waiting to be processed. During the search, investigators seized:
- 12.12 grams of cocaine
- 25.8 grams of heroin
- €510 in cash
- A precision weighing scale
- An airsoft shotgun and a Taser
La Mina Drug Raid Links to Organised Crime
Preliminary investigations suggest the detainees are not operating in isolation. Police believe the men form part of organized criminal groups in Catalonia dedicated to the stable distribution of narcotics in the area.
The Mossos d’Esquadra have stated that the investigation remains open. Therefore, they have not ruled out further arrests in connection with the network.
