A L’Hospitalet apartment fire required six people to receive medical attention for smoke inhalation on Wednesday night. The incident occurred in a residential block in L’Hospitalet de Llobregat.
Specifically, the blaze affected the dining room of an apartment in the La Florida neighbourhood. Consequently, the flames caused interior damage. However, emergency services acted quickly to contain the spread.

Emergency response to the L’Hospitalet apartment fire
Six crews from the Generalitat Firefighters (Bombers de la Generalitat) were deployed to the scene. After extinguishing the blaze, they focussed on ventilating the building to clear smoke. Meanwhile, emergency services in the region have been busy, also responding to a recent fatal traffic accident in Barcelona.
Officials then inspected the building for potential structural issues. Once they confirmed no structural damage, residents returned to normal activities. All six individuals received treatment for mild smoke inhalation. In addition, this event follows other recent emergencies, such as the tragic scooter accident in Sant Cugat del Vallès.
