L'Hospitalet de Llobregat will host the Cuida 2026 forum on 27 and 28 May. This new professional event focuses on advanced care for older people. It will take place at La Farga, a prominent exhibition centre in the city.

Addressing Ageing Population Needs

Fundació FiraGran organises the forum. It targets professionals in geriatric residences, day centres, and home care services. The event also includes social and health sector experts. Additionally, entities, companies, and organisations linked to care will participate. Fundació FiraGran stated the event "is being launched at a key moment for the sector." This moment reflects the clear ageing of the population. It also highlights the increasing demand for quality care. The forum addresses the need for advanced technology. It also seeks more efficient, sustainable, and humanised care models.

Forum Programme and Innovation

The programme features over 75 activities. These include conferences, debates, and workshops. Presentations of studies, innovations, and books will also occur. Real-life case studies will be exhibited. Activities are structured into three main blocks. These blocks cover attention in geriatric residences, day centres, and home care services. They also address the social and community sector. Furthermore, they focus on the health and socio-health fields. L'Hospitalet de Llobregat, a city bordering Barcelona, is home to over 260,000 residents. It serves as a key hub for professional events in the metropolitan area.

A key feature is the Innovation Hub. This dedicated space will showcase technological advancements. It will also present emerging solutions in care. The forum aims to drive significant improvements in elderly care across the region.
