Lindt, the renowned Swiss chocolate company, will open a new, larger flagship store on Barcelona's Rambla de Catalunya within the next month. The new location at number 85 is directly opposite its current premises, moving into a substantial 150-square-metre space.
This relocation will provide the brand with significantly more retail space, allowing for an expanded product range and improved customer experience for both residents and tourists. The move was first reported by Expansión and later confirmed by El Periódico Barcelona.
New Location Details
The new site at Rambla de Catalunya 85 previously housed a Haägen Dazs ice cream shop. Later, a coffee chain establishment occupied the premises. This prominent spot offers high visibility on one of Barcelona's busiest commercial streets.
Lindt currently operates three other sales points within Barcelona. These are located inside the El Corte Inglés department stores on Avinguda Diagonal and Plaça de Catalunya. Additionally, the brand has a presence at the La Maquinista shopping centre.
Lindt's Catalan Presence
Across Catalonia, the company maintains a total of six retail outlets, showing its strong regional market presence. The real estate transaction for this commercial relocation was managed by Cushman & Wakefield, a global property services firm.
Rambla de Catalunya is a popular tree-lined boulevard in the Eixample district, home to approximately 260,000 residents. It is well-known for its shops, restaurants, and pedestrian-friendly atmosphere, attracting both locals and international visitors.
The opening of the new, more spacious store reinforces Lindt's commitment to the Barcelona market. It offers a more prominent and comfortable destination for chocolate enthusiasts in the city, enhancing its retail footprint.
