This unexpected change means Luar will no longer feature on the official calendar for the prestigious fashion event. The organisation expressed its hope to include Luar in future editions, according to an official statement released on Wednesday. The 37th edition will still showcase collections from 26 other designers and brands.

New Venue for Barcelona Fashion Event

The 080 Barcelona Fashion event marks a significant venue shift this year. For the first time, the event will take place at Port Vell, a prominent waterfront area in Barcelona. This move departs from its traditional location. Previously, it was held at the Recinte Modernista de Sant Pau, a UNESCO World Heritage site.

The change in location aims to offer a fresh perspective for the fashion showcase. The event attracts industry professionals, buyers, and fashion enthusiasts to the city. It highlights Barcelona’s role as a key hub for design and creativity. The city is a prominent centre in southern Europe.

Impact on Event Calendar

Organisers of 080 Barcelona Fashion anticipate announcing event schedule updates soon. These revisions will reflect Luar’s departure from the line-up. The fashion week remains a crucial platform for both established and emerging talent.

The event continues to promote Catalan fashion globally. Residents and visitors can still expect a vibrant display of new collections and trends. The organisation remains committed to delivering a successful and engaging 37th edition.
