Manga Barcelona 2025 has concluded its 31st edition with a record-breaking attendance of 167,000 visitors.
The event, held at the Fira de Barcelona Gran Via in L’Hospitalet de Llobregat, featured a newly renovated space and a packed programme of international guests and premieres.

The guest list was a major draw, featuring legendary manga artists and assistants. Attendees had the chance to meet Takashi Matsuyama, former assistant to ‘Dragon Ball’ creator Akira Toriyama, alongside other notable creators like Tsutomu Takahashi and Akemi Takada.

Characters from ‘Dr. Slump’ returned to screens, and Ash from ‘Pokémon’ appeared in Catalan days before his official premiere on the Súper3 channel.
