Investigation Focus
According to El País, Catalan police are now examining a possible homicide scenario. Jonathan Andic, the businessman’s son who was his only companion that day, is being investigated by the Court of Instruction 5 of Martorell.
La Vanguardia reports his status as accused has been formally transferred to him. Investigators requested Jonathan’s mobile phone several days ago and are analysing its contents for evidence.
Police sources indicate the only evidence pointing to Jonathan consists of numerous contradictions in his two statements at the police station. The case remains under judicial secrecy.
Family Response
Sources close to the family stated Jonathan Andic “has not made and will not comment in all these months about the death of Isak Andic.” They emphasised his continued cooperation with authorities and expressed confidence his innocence will be proven.
Isak Andic founded Mango in 1984, building it into one of Spain’s largest fashion brands with over 2,400 stores globally. The company employs approximately 15,000 people worldwide and reported €2.7 billion in revenue last year.
