A Manresa building fire on Carrer Santa Llúcia required emergency services to treat approximately twenty people on Sunday morning. The blaze, which affected two properties, forced firefighters to evacuate residents via the building’s facade. Emergency services responded swiftly to the incident.
Casualties and Medical Response
According to the Medical Emergency System (SEM), the majority of those affected received treatment at the scene. Eighteen individuals required assistance but did not need hospital admission. However, two people were evacuated to Althaia Hospital. Their condition has been described as less serious.

Fire Origins and Evacuation on Carrer Santa Llúcia
The alarm was raised at 10:03 am regarding a fire at number 27 Carrer Santa Llúcia. Consequently, seven crews from the Bombers de la Generalitat were deployed to the location.
Upon arrival, crews established that the fire had originated on the ground floor. It subsequently spread to the second and third floors, affecting the entire staircase. Therefore, firefighters successfully evacuated 16 people from the affected property through the facade.
Meanwhile, intense smoke also spread to the adjacent building at number 25. This led to the precautionary evacuation of a further three residents.
Structural Damage from the Manresa Building Fire
While the fire has been stabilised, the incident caused significant damage to the ground floor of number 27. Firefighters also identified a small structural collapse on the first floor. In addition, emergency services, including three ambulance units, have remained on site to monitor the situation and the affected residents.
