The new Manresa to Barcelona night bus service begins operations this weekend. Consequently, residents and visitors can now travel between the two cities late at night on weekends and holidays. This development fills a significant gap in the region’s public transport network.
The Generalitat de Catalunya awarded the concession to Monbus, which already manages the daytime route. This expansion forms part of a broader service update that started earlier this week. Moreover, it aligns with other recent improvements to Barcelona’s bus network designed to enhance connectivity.

Manresa to Barcelona Night Bus Schedule
The new night service operates on Friday nights, Saturday nights, and the eve of public holidays. It provides three departures in each direction. Therefore, it ensures reliable late-night connectivity for commuters and leisure travellers.
Buses depart from Manresa at midnight, 02:00, and 04:00. For the return journey, buses leave Barcelona at 01:40, 03:40, and 05:40. The first regular weekday service from Barcelona then resumes at 04:50 from Maria Cristina.
Manresa to Barcelona Night Bus Route
Line 530 covers the route, which takes approximately 90 minutes. The service extends coverage beyond the main hubs. It reaches towns that previously lacked night connections. Additionally, this new route supports the city’s strategy to disperse tourists into the wider region.
Departing from the Manresa bus station, the bus stops at Plaza Valldaura before heading towards Barcelona. It services La Farinera in Castellgalí and Plaza del Pi in Sant Vicenç de Castellet. In Monistrol de Montserrat, passengers can board at Parque de l’Alvènia and Can Gomis. The route also includes stops at the Els Clossos roundabout and Plaza Catalunya in Olesa de Montserrat.
Upon entering Barcelona, the bus stops at key locations. These include Zona Universitària, Palau Reial, Maria Cristina, Plaza Francesc Macià, and the Muntaner–Còrsega junction. The route terminates at Gran Via.
Funding and Operation of the Night Bus
This service upgrade follows a new tender process managed by the regional government. As outlined in the official announcement, the goal is to improve mobility options. Specifically, it aids residents in the Bages region who work or socialise in the capital. Furthermore, the availability of subsidised travel passes makes these new options accessible to more people.
Monbus will continue to operate the service using the existing fleet. The new timetable is now fully effective across both day and night shifts.
