Montjuïc Olympic Ring has achieved a historic milestone, welcoming over 2.4 million spectators across 198 events in 2025.
This record-breaking year confirms the enduring vitality of Barcelona’s premier sporting and cultural complex, which includes the Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys, the Palau Sant Jordi, and the Sant Jordi Club.

The facilities will receive major technical upgrades to accommodate large-scale events, particularly as top artists increasingly schedule multiple concerts in the same city. Furthermore, the winning design for a new, flexible-capacity Sant Jordi Club will be announced in 2026. This new venue, with a capacity ranging from 3,500 to 9,000, aims to fill a notable gap in Barcelona’s event infrastructure.
Meanwhile, improvements are also scheduled for the Estadi and the Palau Sant Jordi. The Palau will be adapted to host concerts during the construction of the new Sant Jordi Club. This strategic planning follows three consecutive years of record-breaking attendance, a success attributed by officials to a collaborative public-private management model.
Concert Boom and Future Headliners Drive Success
Concerts remain the core activity, with 116 sessions attracting nearly 1.2 million fans this year. Significantly, 11 international artists, including Guns N’ Roses and Billie Eilish, chose Montjuïc for their only Spanish tour stop. The trend of multi-night residencies is also growing, exemplified by Lady Gaga’s three sold-out nights at the Palau Sant Jordi in October.
The momentum shows no sign of slowing. Major tours are already scheduled for 2026, with acts like Bad Bunny, Rosalía, and The Weeknd set to perform. Additionally, Bad Gyal has expanded her tour to include a major Barcelona arena date, highlighting the venue’s continued appeal. The programming was rounded out by 58 family shows, sporting events, and corporate activities, drawing another 200,000 visitors and demonstrating the complex’s versatile role in the city’s cultural life.
