The Mossos d’Esquadra have dismantled two major criminal groups responsible for a wave of ram-raid thefts and truck hijackings across Barcelona’s metropolitan area. According to a police statement released on Monday, the two groups were closely linked and shared vehicles.

Mossos Dismantle Criminal Groups

They used stolen luxury cars and vans to carry out their attacks. One group is accused of 41 ram-raid offences, primarily in the metropolitan area.

Police first raided an agricultural property in Cabrera de Mar. The groups used this location as a warehouse for stolen goods from truck heists.

Half a Million Euros in Goods Recovered During the searches, the Mossos recovered six stolen vehicles used in the crimes.

The total value of the recovered material exceeds €500,000. It includes cosmetics, clothing, and electronic devices.
