Catalan police are investigating a shooting that took place in the early hours of Monday morning in Sabadell’s Ronda Europa.

The alarm was raised shortly after 4 a.m., when several neighbours phoned emergency services to report hearing gunfire. Officers arriving on the scene found multiple shell casings scattered on the road.
Witnesses told police that the shooters fled in two vehicles. Although a large-scale ‘jaula’ operation was activated to try to seal off the area, no arrests have yet been made. Importantly, police say no injuries have been reported.
The Mossos d’Esquadra have opened an investigation to determine the motive and track down those responsible. For now, the case remains unsolved, but residents have expressed concern over rising street violence in the area.
