The suspects, aged 32 and 33, were detained in L’Hospitalet de Llobregat following an investigation by the Mossos’ Citizen Security Units from Sants-Montjuïc and L’Hospitalet. The case began on 5 September when police received reports of a break-in at a private car park in the Sants district, where two vehicles belonging to the company had been taken.

Upon arrival, officers found forced access to the premises. In addition to the two stolen cars, the thieves had taken a dozen sets of keys to other vehicles, three company tablets and a mobile phone. Thanks to swift police work, the two cars were located and returned, while the suspects were brought before the courts on charges of burglary, vehicle theft and, in one case, fraud.

The recovery highlights the Mossos’ ongoing operations against organised theft and property crime, particularly in areas surrounding Barcelona, where rental companies and private fleets have often been targeted.
