A man was hospitalised after being shot in the leg during the early hours of Thursday in L’Hospitalet de Llobregat, according to the Catalan police, Mossos d’Esquadra.

The incident occurred around four in the morning in the Bloques Florida, within the Les Planes neighbourhood. The victim had been standing in a public space with a group of people when an individual approached and opened fire. Residents quickly alerted the police, but by the time officers arrived at the scene, the crowd had dispersed.
The injured man later presented himself at Bellvitge Hospital. Police sources indicated that he has so far refused to collaborate with investigators, leaving key questions unanswered about the motive and the identity of the assailant.
Mossos have launched an investigation to clarify the circumstances surrounding the shooting. The absence of witness cooperation has complicated progress, but forensic analysis and surveillance footage in the area are expected to support the inquiry.
The shooting has caused unease among residents, adding to concerns over safety in parts of L’Hospitalet. Police patrols have been reinforced in the area while the investigation continues.
The motives behind the attack remain unclear, and police are appealing for information from anyone who may have witnessed the events.
