Terrassa cocaine network operations have been completely disrupted following a major police operation that resulted in 16 arrests. The Mossos d’Esquadra successfully dismantled what they described as a ‘very active’ criminal organisation after a nine-month investigation targeting drug trafficking activities in the northern Barcelona municipality.

Terrassa Cocaine Network Structure Revealed
Police investigations revealed the Terrassa cocaine network operated from multiple apartments in the city’s District 6 area. Furthermore, the organisation maintained a sophisticated hierarchical structure with clearly defined roles and responsibilities. The group’s leader, identified as the primary suspect, coordinated operations while other members handled drug acquisition, storage and distribution.
Additionally, the criminal network employed elaborate counter-surveillance measures to avoid detection. Consequently, they frequently used electric scooters for transportation alongside conventional vehicles. This approach allowed them to move quickly through urban areas while minimising police attention.
Meanwhile, the investigation uncovered that drug sales primarily occurred from the District 6 apartments. However, the organisation also maintained distribution networks extending throughout the Terrassa area. The group’s operations demonstrated significant coordination and planning according to police statements.
Major Raids Yield Substantial Evidence
Operation culmination occurred on October 16th with coordinated raids across eight properties. These targeted locations included apartments in District 6 alongside properties in the Cogullada and Maurina neighbourhoods. Consequently, police secured substantial evidence including 350 grams of cocaine and 1.6 kilograms of marijuana.
Moreover, authorities confiscated approximately €11,000 in cash alongside precision scales and a short firearm. The weapon seizure particularly concerned investigators given its potential implications for public safety. Therefore, the operation successfully removed both narcotics and dangerous weapons from circulation.
The sixteen individuals arrested, aged between 20 and 54, faced judicial proceedings on October 18th. They appeared before the functioning instruction court in Terrassa where formal charges were presented. Accordingly, the legal process now continues through the Spanish judicial system.
