The seventh consecutive edition promises to be the largest yet, covering over 24,000 square metres with free activities and shows that capture the magic of the season.
Port Vell Christmas Expansion Brings New Attractions
This year’s programme introduces several exciting additions that enhance the visitor experience.

Furthermore, the iconic Golondrinas boats will offer special Christmas night routes for the first time in their 137-year history.Additionally, free sailing trips will provide unique nautical experiences along the waterfront between the Miraestels monument and Rambla de Mar.
The festivities officially launch on November 28th at 18:30 with a spectacular show by Circo Raluy featuring magic, humour and acrobatics. Consequently, the lighting ceremony will illuminate the entire Moll de la Fusta area, marking the beginning of the Christmas season at Port Vell. Meanwhile, the traditional stage will host performances by local cultural entities, music students and emerging artists throughout the festival period.
According to detailed plans from the Port of Barcelona, maritime organisations will open their vessels to the public. Salvament Marítim will welcome visitors aboard one of their rescue boats, while the pailebote Santa Eulàlia and Far Barcelona will also offer access during specified dates.
Family Activities and Seasonal Magic
The Port Vell Christmas programme places strong emphasis on family entertainment and accessibility. The world’s largest inflatable park, FunBox, returns alongside two new attractions: Energy and l’Arbre de boles accessible. Therefore, children of all abilities can enjoy the festive fun throughout the holiday period.
Younger visitors will delight in activities organised by Club Súper3, including a live connection on December 28th at 12:00. Moreover, workshops, games and children’s activities will be distributed across various stalls at Moll de la Fusta. On January 3rd and 4th, children can deliver their letters to the Three Kings at Tinglado Real, though advance registration is required for this popular activity.
The Jaume I tower will once again serve as the ‘Port of Barcelona Christmas Tree’ with nightly light shows illuminating the waterfront. Meanwhile, a complimentary Christmas ‘train’ will connect key points throughout Port Vell and the warehouses, ensuring easy access for all visitors. This comprehensive approach to Barcelona’s cultural programming demonstrates the city’s commitment to year-round public celebrations.
